L + R // Dumbo, Brooklyn Engagement Session
Brooklyn, NYC
DUMBO
Promenade, Cobblestone Streets, and Carousels
June, 2021 | Dumbo, Brooklyn, NY
L + R went through the ringer with covid messing up wedding plans, and last minute decided to make things happen - because why wait, right? With the excitement of the wedding (or should we say elopement) two months away, they decided to make an engagement session happen in the most beautiful area of Dumbo. From the Brooklyn promenade where they proposed (R did not get on a knee in case you were wondering), through the neighborhoods, then down to Pier 16 and Janeβs Carousel.
These guys are awesome, and weβre so excited to capture their semi-elopement in August up in the Finger Lakes. Weβre just hoping that the heat of the summer doesnβt follow us up there.
K + J // Domino Park, Brooklyn Proposal
Brooklyn, NYC
Domino Park
Proposal, Balloons, Champagne
July, 2021 | Brooklyn, NY
J was organized. He sent us a map, a detailed timeline, an order of events, and he followed through.
I was stationed at the corner of Domino Park when I got the 10 minute text from J. At the last minute I panicked and switched to my 70-200mm lens instead of the 24mm. This came in handy, as they came around the corner and I began to follow them very creepily. J went a little farther down the walk than I expected, and as I walked quickly to catch up I was viciously attacked by a tiny terrier. I untangled myself from the leash as he got down on a knee to propose, and luckily was still able to get the look of shock on Kβs face.
What a beautiful proposal this was. Their friends were waiting nearby and cheered immediately from up above, then came running with balloons and champagne to celebrate. We took 10 minutes to get some portraits in, and they continued on their celebration. Wishing the couple the best as they make their wedding plans!
